Autonomy Announces Six New Major U.S. Government Partnerships
Autonomy's Advantage Partner Program rolls out in the Federal markets
CAMBRIDGE, England, 10th July 2000 - Autonomy Corporation plc (NASDAQ/EASDAQ : AUTN) today announced partnership agreements with six major players in the U.S. federal, state and local government markets. The partners, Federal Data Corp, CACI, Raytheon, General Dynamics, GTSI and Concentra, will resell all Autonomy's products, enabling U.S federal, state and local governmental bodies to automatically manage the information and knowledge within their organizations.
The partnerships represent over one thousand new sales and marketing resources dedicated to those government markets. The partner organizations supply virtually all federal agencies, both defense and civilian, and most state governments.
Dr. Mike Lynch, Founder and Group CEO of Autonomy, said: "These partnership agreements reflect Autonomy's commitment to predominance in the U.S. government marketplace. Autonomy's technology, combined with the skills and experience of our partners, will immediately enable large-scale U.S. government clients to benefit from best-of-breed knowledge management solutions."
The Autonomy Advantage Government Partners are described below:

FDC's strengths include IT infrastructure functions such as electronic commerce and web/internet services, data warehousing and mining, software engineering, enterprise migration, product fulfillment, systems integration, and network engineering and support.
"Our partnership with Autonomy enables FDC to deliver advanced integrated solutions that merge structured and unstructured data in ways that create additional value for our customers," said John Wayne, Senior Vice President of FDC's Solutions Sector.
"Autonomy's software products are a powerful complement to FDC's current portfolio of web and internet solutions including eBusiness solutions, portals, knowledge management applications, and web infrastructure and security solutions."
General Dynamics Information Systems, (www.gd-is.com) headquartered in Bloomington, MN, will use Autonomy's technology to provide DOD customers with context-specific information management solutions. "Autonomy is a clear leader in the commercial knowledge management market, providing unique technologies that can directly enhance our integrated information infrastructure approach.
As an Autonomy partner, we will have the ability to more efficiently and effectively deploy superior solutions to the ever increasing set of information management challenges found in today's military," said Jay Mork, Chief Technologist, General Dynamics Information Systems.

Since all government agencies deal with massive amounts of information, having Autonomy on board means that important information reaches the worker faster and that worker can therefore spend his or her time putting the information to productive use," said Mark Zelinger, Vice President, VendorRelations and Product Marketing.

"The ability to retrieve electronic documents in their native formats and automatically categorize them will greatly enhance productivity and reduce document processing costs, particularly for responding to litigation support tasks and Freedom of Information Act requests.
We believe there is a great market for our combination of systems integration expertise, federal agency experience - especially our 20-year heritage of litigation support for the Department of Justice - and Autonomy's conceptual capabilities."
