WorldNow Will Use Virage's Internet Video Infrastructure to Enhance Its Web Solutions for Local Broadcasters
STREAMING MEDIA EAST CONFERENCE, NEW YORK—June 12, 2000 —Virage, Inc., a leading provider of products and application services that enable video for the Internet, today announced that WorldNow, a leading provider of Internet technology services for local broadcasters, and the largest independent network of local broadcaster web sites, is using Virage software and application services to integrate on-demand video into its complete web site solution for local broadcast television stations. The Virage platform will allow WorldNow to provide streaming video as part of an integrated, cost-effective solution that enables broadcasters to easily deliver and monetize targeted, branded information to anyone, anywhere, anytime.
