Michael Zuckerman Joins Verity as Vice President of Marketing
Verity Continues to Strengthen Management Team
SUNNYVALE, Calif. - 2000-06-12 - Verity, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRTY), a leading provider of enterprise and Internet knowledge retrieval solutions, today appointed Michael Zuckerman as its new vice president of marketing. Zuckerman, who has over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, assumes responsibility for managing worldwide marketing activities for Verity. With this appointment, Verity continues to strengthen its management team by adding top-tier talent. Zuckerman reports to Anthony J. Bettencourt, president of Verity.

Prior to joining Verity, Zuckerman served as vice president of sales and marketing and senior director of marketing and business development at Sensar, Inc., a provider of network security products for internal networks and Internet access. Before Sensar, he held the position of chief operating officer for LocalEyes Corporation, an Internet search and directory service company. Zuckerman has also held key management positions at FileTek, Inc., ABSS, Inc., Convergent Technologies, Harris Corporation, and Data General. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
