New eForm Products Automate the Collection & Processing of Web and Corporate Forms
Cardiff eForm Products clean Web data, saving organizations over $150 per form transaction
San Diego - 2000-06-05 - Cardiff Software, Inc. today introduced new versions of their popular eForms products, PDF+Forms v2.0 and HTML+Forms v2.0. Cardiff's eForm products allow organizations to implement online forms using industry standards, eliminating the need for proprietary plug-ins or Java applets.
PDF+Forms, developed in partnership with Adobe Systems, Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE), allows organizations to put paper forms online using the Adobe PDF file format. Users access blank forms online from standard Web servers and Web-based content management systems, and can complete forms online or print forms and complete them by hand. The Adobe PDF file format maintains the look of paper forms online and in print giving organizations the ability to standardize their online and offline corporate forms.
PDF+Forms works with Cardiff's TELEform Information Capture products to automate the collection of data, and is used to apply standardized business rules to verify and clean incoming data. TELEform also provides point & click connectivity to database, workflow systems, XML and back-end imaging archive systems.
PDF+Forms v2.0 adds support for eForm AutoFill, digital signatures, and email routing. The eForm AutoFill feature fills in blank fields within an online form using a database lookup on the server when user is online. Cardiff's enhanced support for digital signatures allows organizations to use the emerging electronic signing technology that is not vendor specific . The PDF+Forms email routing feature delivers user-directed routing of online forms using standard email products. Where other eForm technologies require a user to be connected to the Internet to use online forms, PDF+Forms permits local archival, remote users and eForms via email products.
HTML+Forms v2.0 extends Cardiff's HTML forms leadership in allowing organizations to collect and scrub data from standard Web forms. Like PDF+Forms, HTML+Forms works with TELEform to apply business rules to collected data online. Once data is verified, the system automatically processes information to database, XML and archive applications.
Cardiff's solutions are used to automate the processing of both online and paper forms. In a recent study conducted by Microsoft, and published in Bill Gate's book "Business @ The Speed of Thought", it was shown that organizations that use products like Cardiff's can save over $150 per form transaction over manual systems.
