Virage Videologger 4.0 Software Wins "Awesome Product of the Week" Honor from Newmedia.com
Virage Software Recognized for "Advancing the State of the Art of the Internet"
SAN MATEO, California —May 19, 2000—Virage, Inc., a leading provider of products and application services that enable video for the Internet, announced today that its VideoLogger™ 4.0 video indexing platform has been named "Awesome Product of the Week" by Newmedia.com, the professional web-based information service recognizing the convergence of business, technology and design. The honor is given to products selected by its editorial team that "are significantly advancing the state of the art of the Internet."

This is the second editorial recognition for Virage in as many months. In April, VideoLogger was recognized as a "Best of Show" product at NAB 2000. Out of 1,600 exhibitors, Virage received one of Video Systems magazine's prestigious "Pick Hit Awards" for VideoLogger 4.0.
