Document Sciences Integrates Cardiff eTransaction Solutions Into DLS Web Express
Document Sciences joins a growing list of software suppliers that are integrating Cardiff eForm, Information Capture and Personalized eReply products into their Web-based products
New York - 2000-04-10 - At the AIIM 2000 conference today, Document Sciences (NASDAQ: DOCX), a global leader in Document Automation systems, and Cardiff Software, a leading developer of eTransaction and Personalized eReply solutions, announced a partnership to provide end-to-end Web-based solutions for customer fulfillment. The combined solutions will enable companies to respond to customer requests on the Web with high-quality personalized print, email and fax documents, including proposals, quotes, correspondence, marketing collateral and compliance documents.
"Cardiff's products use industry standards and an open architecture that allow us to prototype and integrate the combined Web solution very quickly," said Dan Fregeau, Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Document Sciences. "While our immediate integration is based upon Cardiff's HTML data collection and processing capabilities, their Connect Agents will make extending support to other input formats a straightforward process."
Under the terms of the agreement, Document Sciences will extend DLS Web Express with Cardiff HTML+Forms™ and TELEform® products, resulting in a scalable and secure turnkey system for converting customer data into on-demand customized documents. HTML+Forms will be used to design standard Web forms that collect customer information and profiles, and to automate the collection and validation of eForm data. The TELEform system will cleanse collected data, and process the data using Connect Agent technology. DLS Web Express will then use the profile data to create and deliver customer-unique documents in multiple formats. Additional Document Sciences components, including the company's flagship high-volume composition engine Color CompuSet® 7.0, can be added to accommodate high-volume applications.

Lexmark International and Nortel Networks utilize the Cardiff AudienceOne Personalization Server to deliver personalized sales and marketing materials to their sales organizations worldwide, resulting in an improved sales process while virtually eliminating the printing costs associated with these programs in the past. MosaicSoft recently licensed a custom version of Cardiff's eForm Warehouse Suite, which puts paper forms online in Adobe PDF format, and enhances data collection and processing for HTML Web forms. In total, over 20,000 organizations use Cardiff eTransaction products to automate the way they collect, process, and use their business information.
