Virage Expands European Operations with Full-Service Internet Video Facility at Pinewood Studios
Virage expands global broadband infrastructure with facility located in heart of England's motion picture industry
Former Cap Gemini broadcast veteran Paul Newton to lead operations
LONDON, England—March 21, 2000—Virage Inc., a leading provider of interactive video search products and application services, announced today that the home of legendary motion pictures such as James Bond and Superman has also become home to Virage, as the company opens its first European full-service Internet video facility at Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire. The state-of-the-art facility is the latest addition to Virage's global infrastructure and will be used to provide Internet video application services to Virage customers throughout Europe.

To head this new facility, Paul Newton, formerly media consultant for Cap Gemini, joins Virage as Virage Interactive™ services Manager. Newton brings 15 years of consulting experience to the new division.
