Virage To Provide Searchable Video For Motionview Corporation's Business View Network
Toronto, Ontario (Canada)--Motionview Corporation announced today it has signed an exclusive agreement with Virage, Inc. to integrate Virage's advanced VideoLogger™ video search technology as an integral part of The Business View Network, a new Internet business service from Motionview.
The announcement was made during the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Convention in Las Vegas, April 19-22.
Using Virage's real-time indexing software, The Business View Network will deliver a powerful synergy of global business information content, video database and search and retrieval technology, combined with a 50 million plus target market. The network will utilize streaming media to provide an interactive business solution service for subscribers.
Using Virage's VideoLogger, incoming video feeds will be indexed automatically and ingested in real time through AP Broadcast's ENPS (Electronic News Production System). The indexed files will be made available for on-line browsing, categorized in general classifications such as requirements for acquisition, technology transfer, patent development, venture capital, etc. As the information is identified a team of market specialists will obtain classified information from subject companies and determine how these companies wish to customize their input.
Service subscribers will view each profile with streaming video, audio and text plus other multimedia. A complete portal with a customized Web browser will offer clients a fully searchable video database. Each search based on the subscribers' level of entry into the network will present as many as 50 thumbnail clips of actual profiles. The clips can be randomly viewed for 20 to 30 seconds while subscribers make their selections.
The Business View Network will deploy a special customized database to give access to varying levels of information on more than 52 million businesses in over 200 countries.
