Autonomy Corporation plc ("Autonomy") is a leading provider of infrastructure technology which automates the handling of vast amounts of unstructured information on the Internet and across the enterprise. Autonomy floated on Easdaq (EASD: AUTN) in July 1998.

- Turnover up 212% to GBP 16.51 million (1998:GBP 5.30 million)
- Gross margins at 89% (1998:84%)
- Gross profits increased 228% to GBP 14.70 million (1998:GBP 4.48 million)
- Loss before taxation of GBP 0.68 million including costs of accelerated European expansion, retained loss after tax and minority interest of GBP 1.13 million (1998: loss before and after tax of GBP 1.74 million)
- Basic loss per share for 1999 of 2.78p (1998: loss per share of 5.02p)

"Autonomy's business has seen dramatic growth over the last year. We continued to develop our core technology, expand our sales and marketing operations and move into new markets such as mobile commerce.
Our OEM licensing strategy has taken off beyond expectations and now Autonomy's technology provides the core infrastructure for software products from some of the world's leading software companies, including, Sybase and FileNet.
We also announced collaborations with companies such as SAIC and Razorfish as part of our strategy of scaling our business through a partnership approach, following on from similar announcements with PricewaterhouseCoopers and CSC.
